Private and Public schools Provision and control

June 28, 2016

In most countries parents usually prefer to choose private schools even if they face financial difficulties putting the priority objective that their children will obtain a good education. And because the high demand these schools exist.

Parents choose private schools instead of public knowing that public is for free, Parents seek for disciplined and safe environment plus the religious subjects. However students who go to these schools are from different religion (Chen 2007).

  • Different studies have shown that level of teaching is higher in private schools.
  • Commitment of teachers to their careers and the training done to keep themselves up to date.
  • Private schools accept students due to certain criteria as academic level, discipline and other conditions because students are the source of reputation.

Private schools use their yearly margin to invest in technologies, to buy new materials, to update their strategies, technologies, new training etc..

In private schools parents are shareholders but in public schools that are governed by government and can’t afford new steps, parents are not shareholders. Public school is not allowed to do any improving step without the permission of the government and they can’t afford any activity from their cash because the government is responsible and it depends on its budget. The training and update of staff plays an important role in school reputation. Parents are funder and students are its continuity.

Public schools cost is covered by the government so every child receive the necessary education but not qualified education.

Some private schools lose their students or a Marge of students due to wrong management, false strategies, competitive advantage that the school is not aware of. So parents’ involvement is important because they play the role of free marketing tool based on their return and satisfied experience.

Nowadays the market is open clients are parents and schools try to keep their students and to maintain a number that they can’t go under it because the competitive advantage is high
